El Chancer, you can not get out of riding the Hill-Climb. I should have enough Marshalls/helpers and the event needs climbers like you to try and break the 47 year course record !!!

Mick, I can help next week.

Mr Fish,

If we have enough marshals, any chance I could ride this TT and marshal / time keep / heckle at the hill climb?

Cheers

Mike,

My Wife ( Toby's Mum) Penny is happy to help with the signs etc. as she will be there with Toby so he can get a time that does not include a detour.

If you post what time you want her to be there that would be appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

I am looking for a volunteer Club member to put signs out for next event on 03.08.2010

It takes about 40 mins, helps keep it safe for the riders & you get a nice warm feeling at the end of the day

Please post if you can help

cheers M

I shall bring the numbers and signs. If we have enough helpers then I will have a go on my gentleman's tourer. Christobal can I please beg some longish cable ties if you have them? I have just about exhausted my stash.

PS Tom please do something about the dreadful picture you have of me? Ideally substitute it for someone younger who looks like they know what they are doing?

Cheers

ROLL UP ROLL UP!Laughing

The next COBCC TT is this Tuesday (the 6th). Sign on is 6:30 from the Trumpet pub and racing starts at 7.

Be there and support the club, either as a helper (we need one more helper for this Tuesday) or as a racer. Doesn't matter if you don't have a pointy hat, or even a road bike. It'll be the toughest training session you'll do this week!

Luke B you still ok to help, you'll be in charge of time keeping at the finish (you can tell the time, can't you?!)

Cheers,

Luke M

Thanks to every one who helpped in the process of staging the event. Also thanks to the club members for the constant heckling at the start and finish.

Mike / Phil put me down for marshalling in July.

Cheers

A knackard El-Chancer.

My agreed duty as pusher off and can confirm I'll be there at the Trumpet car park for 6pm.

Maybe a good idea if everyone on the organisation front confirms if they are going to be there.

Bye for now,

Robin Wink.

P.S. If nobody has sorted the signing on and start sheets I can knock something up tomorrow, let me by 10.30pm this evening regarding this subject if this is something that hasn't been sorted.

Following the committee meeting this Sunday it's def on. It'll be held on Tuesday evenings on the 8th June, 6th July & 3rd August as a 10 mile TT from the Trumpet pub on the Worcester road.

The series will be made up from these 3 TT's + the COBCC hill climb (2nd September).

We're hoping club members will ride 3 of the events and help out at a fourth ... so if you're keen to contribute post here.

Cheers,

Luke

Hi all, time is moving on and i wondered if everything was still ok for our TT events ?

I have spoken to the pub landlord (trumpet)and he is up for use of his car park (we would need to use the furthest part,ie away from the pub)and in return i suggested that we could use the bar for refreshments, although dont expect a load of pissed cyclist !.

I advised that they would be the first tuesday of may, june and july as discussed (i think this is correct),but this is as far as i am aware.

So do we have a firm date,do we have numbers ,time clocks and someone to use them, marshall's,have we advertised this to our own members or any local clubs,is what i have done ok ?

There is a committee meeting next monday (bank holiday monday ??),but this means the proposed TT is the next day ! and as i said time has moved on.

Who knows what ?

C.B.
