Well the weather forecast wasn't quite as good as expected first thing i.e. a bit cooler and overcast.

Anyway five of us today i.e. Janet H, Steve L, John from Monmouth, Andy from Broad Oak and myself.

I had come up in my head with an easy flowing route for this morning i.e. nothing too drastic with the idea of saving myself for The Shropshire Highlands Challenge tomorrow.

So off we went out of town and up past Munstone House, Sutton St Nicholas, Marden, towards Westhope, Cannon Pyon and a left and all the way to Weobley, Dilwyn, Ivington, Passa Lane, Southern Avenue Leominster, Stoke Prior, Risbury where we dropped Janet off on her door step, the rest of us then dropped down to Bodenham, Sutton, Munstone House and back to Climb-On-Bikes for a coffee and a chat.

Well that was a nice little tour around the lanes at a nice steady pace and I think everyone enjoyed that, Steve who's one of our new members seemed to cope with that really well today (obviously he's been doing a bit more riding since I saw him last and it showed and well done to him). Andy's first trip out with us and initially he was a bit concerned about coming out with us riding in a group, again he really went well and it was no trouble and slotted in nicely. Just so I dont leave anyone out i.e. John and Janet tapped round nicely and were very much at ease.

Well done everyone, it turned out a bit further than estimated and I clocked 79.5km (50 miles) by the time I got home.

Bye for now,

Robin Wink

Hi Everyone,

This Saturday 19th June (i.e. this coming weekend) we have another "Saturday Morning Road Ride" starting at 10am from Climb-On-Bikes (i.e. a steady sociable ride followed by coffee back at Climb-On-Bikes).

This weeks ride will be a nice easy country lane route i.e. around the 30 mile distance i.e. not too far as some of us have got The Shropshire Highlands Challenge on the following day. Again apparently we are going to have a nice sunny morning as well and I'm sure we'll look forward to that.

So please come along and join in and be part of it.

Kind Regards,

Robin Jones (Climb-On-Bikes Cycling Club).
