A very warm humid evening lay ahead but glad to say no rain. Four of us tonight i.e. myself, Dave (DJ) Powell, Tim W and Janet H. Good news was that Timothy had remembered his shoe's this week. Everyone was up for one of our nice favourite flowing routes tonight and off we went to Marden, Westhope, Bush Bank, Weobley, Broxwood and through to just short of Lyonshall, the lovely down hill to Almely, Kinnersley, Pig Street, Norton Cannon, Yazor, Brinsop, Tillington Common, left at the Bell Inn and through to Wellington, Marden where Janet branched off whilst the restof us headed back to Sutton and then we all departed homeward bound. I clocked that at 73 km and Janet was well pleased with herself and so she should be as we averaged 19.1 mph for that ride. Must say it was a cracking good blast around the lanes. Well done all Bye for now, Big Ring Edited on 9th July 2010 05:04 PM

Hi Guy's,
This Thursday 8th July an evening road ride for a couple of hours (that's providing it's not lashing down with rain !), i.e. 30 to 40 miles in distance on some nice country lanes. The pace of these rides is around the 18mph average speed so a good level of cycling fitness is required to keep up, just so everyone knows it's not flat out fast but also it's not a novice pace.
Basically if your interested and fancy this meet at the Golden Cross Pub in Sutton St Nicholas at 6.30pm (the pub is in the centre of the village on the cross roads). The evenings are now drawing in a bit so you may require some small lights for the ride home i.e. to be seen with. Bye for now, Robin. Home Tel No 01432 851 817 Edited on 7th July 2010 06:19 PM
