Well after some Brownie point gathering over the last couple of days Amanda let me out to play Smile.

Anyway just four of us today i.e. Captain B, Tim W, Andy M and myself. Clive's turn with a route today which he said would enventurely head along the Shelsley Walsh valley and homeward bound.

So off we went towards Munstone House, Sutton, Bodenham, Risbury where our two younger amigo's shot uphill whilst us two oldered gentlemen took it at more of a enjoyable pace. We regrouped at the top and tapped along a bit further and then we passed Dave (DJ) Powell coming the otherway with a small group of his oldered mates (hope he wasn't doing a Tim W on them !) we exchanged a quick shout as we passed each other. Onward we headed towards Puddlestone and unfortuneately Captain B wasn't feeling too good i.e. the aftermath of root fillings at the Dentist and generally too much work was paying it's toll and he decided to head off back home rather than suffer like a dog all the way round. So now without our route leader Tim voiced how about a coffee stop just outside Tenbury and that seemed a good idea so thats where we headed for and arrived dripping due to a bloody strong swirly headwind. Andy got the coffee's in and we sat outside in the sunshine chilling for half an hour. I'd suggested the return leg and off we went towards Little Hereford straight into that headwind again and then we headed for Middleton On The Hill (along here a nice friendly wasp decided to sting me on the leg, hum that woke me up) and on to Stockton Cross. Down nearly to the A49 and a left and back towards Risbury, Bodenham, at the fork by the Amberly Arms I branched off homeward Bound whilst Tim and Andy headed for Sutton and back to town.

That was a nice ride and back home for 12.15pm and clocked 83km, must say it was a bit hot on the second half. Shame Captain B was not feeling up to it today as I'm sure he had a good route instore for us, every dog has his day and I'm sure he'll be back next week giving us a hard time.

Bye for now,

Big Ring Wink

Hi Everyone,

This Sunday is apparently going to be a nice hot sunny day (so again no excuses Tim W, get that new Pinarello out Wink, C'mon the Dog wants to go for a stroll !).

Normal 9am start from Steels.

This week it's Captain Beaky's turn to come up with a nice route, nodoubt it'll be an interesting one as usual with a mystery coffee stop thrown in somewhere.

I'm hoping to be along but Mrs J has been giving me some grief this week about being out every Sunday so may have to do as I'm told this weekend. If I manage to sweet talk myself off the naughty step I maybe allowed out to play in the end.

So there we go, grab your bike and let's roll Smile, stick a few quid in your back pocket for a coffee and some fat boy cake.

Bye for now,

Big RingWink
