The Sonic road show travelled down to Castle Combe for the 10th round of the summer series. A very pleasent evening, if a little windy. Anyway got changed & had a social with some riders. Lined up & waited & waited some more. After the 4th cats had gone by & out of sight again & the 3rd cats where in view we were allowed off. All 15 of us. We all worked well together to unlap our selfs. We caught the 4th cats for the 1st time & passed them & chased after the 3rd cats. Eventually catching them with 7/8 laps togo. After a slight lullI looked at my computer & the av/sp was 29.2mph. Then the attacks came. A group of 8/9 riders was clear. I chased after them up the home straight. I was almost pukking. One of the Willer Big Maggies guy's looked around & saw a Climb on Bikes rider bridging across. He kindly just dropped off a few feet to help me reach the break. Cheers Grant. Anyway, we were caught & with 4 laps to go caught the 4th cats. It was attack after attack but it was all still together. On the bell lap I was feeling better now & took up a top 15 place. I was fighting people off for my place & set her up. I waited & waited & then all hell broke loose, I darted over to the right & went for some more gears (which I didn't have) & sprinted my little legs off. I may need an 11 sproket as I couldn't pedal any quicker & lost a few place on the line. Still I managed to nick 10th place. Looked down at the old computer & we had averaged 28.6mph for 32 miles. Nice

Total points now 51
