One thing that confused me last year was the mention that you're not allowed to swap out pedals on hire bikes. How are we supposed to setup cleats from a different system without the pedals(/bike) to fettle with? I put this to a few others who track further up north and they've said that there isn't a problem with swapping pedals. So - are you really not allowed to swap pedals out at Newport? |

Hi all, i know its not winter yet ! .However young bradders has provisionally booked (subject to the B.C last minute requirements ) the following sessions. 31st oct ,14th nov ,12th dec ,9th jan , 13th feb .These are 9.00am to 12.00am,be there from 8.30am to be on the track for 9.00am start. the session will be £10.00 per rider and if you have not got your own bike (shame on you !)this can be hired on site at £7.00 per session. You will need to register with luke at the shop and pay to ensure you secure one of the limited 30 places . you will need a helmet gloves and if you hire a bike compatable shoe/pedal system, this is currently look delta but i will check nearer the time as this may change to a newer brand. no previous experiance needed for the first two sessions as these will cater for first timers as well as old hands,so stop worrying about banked tracks and splinters anyone can do it (except robin obviously !). the session also includes a qualified coach (should be boinic steve from last year)so we are all in good hands. any one unsure or needing more info ,just ask. should places not be filled closer to the time i will open it to other local clubs, and will encourage the likes of george burgess etc from the wheelers to "have a go" enough for now. Captian sick note (and fed up ) beaky. Edited on 18th July 2010 01:26 PM
