The morale of this story is A) Sprint where the judges can see you.B)Lodge a protest or even C)Don't leave it til the sprint.

Been contacted by the organiser, the video results(FIFA take note),gave me 2nd after all,bit of a relief after 6 times up that climb

The Climb on Bikes OAP Road Race team, hit Bridgnorth for a 65 mile race on a cheeky little course,6 laps with a mile long climb and a couple of leg stingers per lap

The bunch had dwindled down, after an attritional race and 4 strong guys away,ex pro included,so it was left to the remains of the bunch, about 10 guys to contest the uphill sprint, head said go,legs said maybe later, but I managed to grovel over the line in about 5/6th overall,2nd D Cat.,or so I thought as the judges did not even have me down as a finisher-should've gone to Specsavers,Perksy had his usual strong ride after telling me how bad his form,back,legs...... were, still finished nicely in the bunch.

Ah well, there's always next week and hopefully the judges will have their glasses on!

Ger
