Well again it was a guessing game of what was instore with the weather, Sunday I took my Winter bike convinced it was going to rain and it didn't. Tonight I was convinced it would stay dry so I grabbed the Colnago and headed for Sutton and met Dave (DJ) on route having a steady warm up. We arrived at The Golden Cross and young Ross Dimmock was there waiting for us and it was just the three of us tonight. I suggested one of our regular longer routes and everyone was happy with that so off we headed for Marden, Westhope, Bush Bank and on towards Weobley where it started to rain a bit (Dave was'nt happy but I pointed out that there was some blue sky ahead), into Weobley and out towards Broxwood and low and behold dry roads and a bit of sunshine, through Broxwood and up the climb just short of Lyonshall and a left and down to Almley, Kinnersley, Pig Street and along here it started to get a bit damp, Norton Cannon, Yazor, Dave and I turned for Brinsop whilst Ross cracked back for town, Tillington Common, left by the Bell Inn and on towards Wellington, heading for Marden and into the rain, we arrived back at Sutton very wet and I left Dave and cracked on back home. Well done Guys, we may have had another soaking but it's better than sitting in front of the TV. Another 73 km done and we cracked round at a good pace. Bye for now, Big Ring Edited on 22nd July 2010 10:32 PM

Hi Guy's,
This Thursday 22nd July an evening road ride for a couple of hours (that's providing it's not lashing down with rain !), i.e. 30 to 40 miles in distance on some nice country lanes. The pace of these rides is around the 18mph average speed so a good level of cycling fitness is required to keep up, just so everyone knows it's not flat out fast but also it's not a novice pace.
Basically if your interested and fancy this meet at the Golden Cross Pub in Sutton St Nicholas at 6.30pm (the pub is in the centre of the village on the cross roads). The evenings are now drawing in a bit so you may require some small lights for the ride home i.e. to be seen with. Bye for now, Robin. Home Tel No 01432 851 817 Edited on 20th July 2010 04:48 PM
