Minutes approved from the last meeting 12/11/07
It was agreed that all correspondence to members will be sent via email. Copies of the Club Committee Meetings, Agenda, Minutes and Newsletter will be available in the shop for members to see if they do not have access to a computer. We also hope to develop a new Club website to improve communications.
Climb on Bikes Club & Team Organisation
Following a long discussion it was decided (Vote 20/3) that the Team should be kept separate to the Club. The shop (Clive & Helen Beacon) will be responsible for the management & organisation of the Team. The Club Committee will be responsible for the management & organisation of the Club. Team Members however, were expected to be active Club members.
All information regarding the Climb on Bikes Team should be discussed with Clive/ Helen Beacon at the shop.
Sponsors providing money to 'Climb on Bikes', will be asked specifically where they would like their money to go to (Club or Team). The treasurer will manage the finances of the Club & liaise with Clive/ Helen Beacon.
Club Committee
Only a few specific nominations were received, the majority of nominations were for a general club committee position.
Following a discussion which each of the nominations the following roles were filled:
Chair Person: Luke Moseley
Vice Chair: Tony Vaughan
Treasurer: Stuart Southan
Secretary (Affiliation/ minutes/ agenda): Paula Moseley
Secretary (Membership BCF & Club): Kate Wheeler
Events/ Social Organisers: Robin Jones & Ben Dale
Fund Raising/ Race Organisers: Phil Mason & Mike Stephens
Shop Representatives: Clive & Helen Beacon
In addition to this Tony Vaughan has agreed to develop a Climb on Bikes Club Website and Steve King has agreed to help promote Multi-sport events in the club. Photos of each Committee member will be available on the Club website & in the shop.
Ben distributed a sheet describing the rides he's planning on organising over the next 2 months (attached).
Climb on Bikes Xmas Party 2.12.07
Clive Beacon asked members to make nominations for the different awards available this year, including (Club person, Rider, Performance, Most Improved Rider of the year).
In addition could any members please return last year's trophy to the shop ASAP, thanks.
