Climb on bikes cycling club meeting and AGM minutes

Location: Bunch of Carrots, Hereford. Present: Luke & Paula Moseley, Ned Potter, Chris Egan, Martin Grimes, Tim Wintour, Mick Stpehens, Tom Knight Apologies: Clive and Helen Beacon, Kate Wheeler Minutes of Last Meeting: Approved. Accounts: Ongoing difficulties with Natwest (changing address and signatories on account). Ned suggested contacting Sue Bagley at the Broad St branch Paula to chase up. Chris suggested that all committee members think of ways to put money back into members for the next meeting (xmas dinner rebate, discount kit, proper trophies were mentioned). Membership: By text Kate informed the committee that the latest membership list will be emailed out this week. Reliability Ride (22/11/09): Robin fed back on progress. A route has been decided (with a shorter option). Maps have been produced. We decided no groups would be organised but instead people would leave when they wanted subject to no more than 10 leaving at one time. Help for tea/coffee/cakes and signage to be sorted out at next meeting. It was mentioned that future flyers/posters should emphasise the free nature of the cakes and that COBCC members should get reduced entry. Robin agreed to liaise with Clive to ensure the event was insured with British Cycling. Hill Climb (19/11/09): Ned organised people into roles on the day and promoting the event was discussed. Ned confirmed that approval had been sought from the Police and insurance was in place via the RTT. Website: Tom discussed the progress that had been made. A flat view type forum was suggested (i.e. no subheadings such as ‘road’ or ‘training’. It was thought that this would make it easier to get involved with different discussions. Tom said that the website should go live by the 18th of September. AOB: Track sessions were confirmed. Dates are 18th October 2009, The Christmas meal has been booked for Sunday the 6th of December. |
